Stress Management – Sharks And Dolphins At Work
Posted by: | CommentsQ. I work in an office with several people, all of whom I get along with quite well. There is one person, however, that really gets my goat. He gladhands everyone, smiles and schmoozes with the boss and acts like everyone’s friend. The problem is this person steals other people’s ideas, talks behind your back and is basically a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I love my job, and I would not leave it for the world. So what do I do? Do I go to the boss and complain, do I rally my co-workers, do I confront this person myself?
Mind Walls
Posted by: | CommentsWalls as a blockade seem to be an integral part of our society. The End Of Guilt
Posted by: | CommentsWhat is the purpose of guilt?
Well, let’s look at it.
Some would say that guilt is necessary to help us remember things we did that we should regret, so that,
We won’t make the same mistakes again, so that,
We can feel we are learning from our mistakes, so that,
We can become more moral, more compassionate, more confident, more self respecting and more virtuous human beings, so that,
We can feel better about ourselves, so that,
Our Self Worth can rise, and so that,
Our Self Esteem can rise.

Posted by: | CommentsNot nearly as often as it should. Most child abuse victims never report the crime or get help in coming to grips with this life-changing trauma. They move into adulthood with a broken heart and low self esteem. Much misbehavior and acting out can be traced to an incident which occurred which left the child feeling confused, betrayed and angry.
In an attempt to cope with the confusing reality of what has happened to them, many children develop survival skills or behaviors that will help them to cover up what they are really feeling. Families, friends and society sometimes see and judge the problem behavior when it is actually a symptom of the internal pain which has never been addressed.
