When I left England in 2000 there did not seem to be much happiness around. People in modern western society tend to be self focused to the extreme, prone to criticise rather than support or applaud, and with little time or inclination to devote to others. Relationships can be a battleground rather than a haven of mutual support. Thinking about it now, I did not know anyone who I could say was really happy. I was acquainted with a few who might have been in a state of happiness, but I did not know them well enough to be sure.

The teenage years are vital in the growth of children. Sadly these are the years where children experience some of their most demanding encounters. Anger Management

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Anger is an emotion experienced by everyone. Nevertheless anger can be considered too intense. Anger can be an awfully destructive emotion if it isn’t controlled. Controlling anger is considered anger management. It is essential to manage your anger so it does not become harmful either to yourself or others.

The initial step to controlling anger issues it to acknowledge there is a problem. If a person continues down a course where they are always angry and acting out, it will ultimately cause major problems. Lacking anger management this person will likely experience loss of their family, loss of their job and loss of their own identity.

Most people have mixed feelings about feeling and expressing anger. Various influences suggest everything from practicing extreme self-control, holding it all in (end result: stoicism) to showing no boundaries about sharing anger at all(end result: anarchy). Finding the middle ground is the place where you can communicate feelings and the facts of a given situation, without hurting or blaming the other party, and vice versa. When this first scenario occurs, you are creating more space for positive communication changes to occur. When communication is less than ideal, continuing to express anger in old ways will reinforce old habits., aggravating an already difficult situation.

For the person who is dealing daily with anger problems, it is important to learn skills that will be effective in coping.  Below I will cover three skills that may help in this cause.  Not all strategies work for all people, so it is necessary to try until you find one that works for you.

*Acupressure. Tapping or rubbing the body achieves this technique. Briskly massaging your body when feeling tense and upset causes an individual’s energy to move around their body, which results in relaxation. It is very difficult to remain angry when your body is relaxed.

The Problem With Anger

Posted by: | Comments (0)

As Christians, we know we need God in every aspect of our lives do we not? We need God to work on us because some of us are so spiritually immature that it is hard to distinguish Christians from non-Christians. Thus, God commands us to do certain things for our own sake – not His. God wants to teach us how to move beyond ourselves to others. God knows we cannot make it to His kingdom until we learn how to sacrifice our needs, our wants, and our desires, for the good of someone else. In other words, until we learn how to love one another, even the unlovable. And, we can never love until we get rid of the anger.

Anger In Your Energy Field

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Many consider anger a normal human emotion and continue to allow themselves to be seduced by it. I suppose another way of saying that, although it’s not my preference, is that many are “addicted” to anger and “think” that it is of some use in their lives.

For instance, if you are one of those people who is seduced by anger, i.e. allows it to run your life either overtly or covertly (i.e. in the form of passive aggressive behaviors) you probably “think” that it is giving you a certain sense of control over others, control over your life, makes you feel that you are right or “in the right”, makes your feel powerful, makes your feel superior, that it helps to protect you from getting hurt, allows the energy to assert yourself and therefore helps you to survive.

choose to be… and if they know how to get it.

So what does it take to bring us to a state of happiness? Here are a few
thoughts to get you on your way:
