Humans crave, require and grow better in the presence of spiritual engagement and inspiration. Feeding your spirit is an important as feeding the body and the mind. Here are some ways you can nurture your soul in the spaces you live and work in:</p>
<p>1. Inspirational, energizing or calming music is one of the best ways to &#8220;short-circuit&#8221; the mind and go directly to the soul. When your head is full of worries or ill thoughts and you can&#8217;t seem to get past them, filling the air with the sounds that suit you best can lift you up and pull you past the obstacles that bar your way. Whether you listen to forget, to uplift or simply to enjoy, music really does calm the savage breast.</p>
<p>2. Fill your space with inspirational quotes, sayings, words, images and other items. Paint them on the walls, if you dare, or hang them up on a nail if you prefer. Put them in frames and prop them up on top of your desk. Ring your computer monitor in snippets of brilliance and encouragement. Stitch or paint them into the coverings on your furniture or write them on strips of colored paper and festoon your ceiling with streamers of joy. However you do it, filling your sight with words of encouragement, enlightenment and love can keep you from straying into those bleak areas of the mind that are best left unmapped.</p>
<p>3. Books, books and more books. Books of love, books of joy, books of inspiration, books of practical knowledge, books with colored pictures from around the globe and books with studied prose from down the street. Books serve a two-fold purpose as both the holders of wisdom on the outside and the bestowers of beauty on the <a href="http://www.lifehack.org/articles/communication/9-secrets-to-building-relationships-outside-of-the-office.html" target="_blank">outside</a>. Choose books with sumptuous contents and equally sumptuous coverings. Line them up according to color, topic or height. Enjoy them with your sight, your touch and your mind. Reflect on the fact that the average homeowner library holds far more knowledge on a single shelf than the ancients of the Golden Eras of Learning could have hoped to compile in their lifetimes. Look, learn and love. Books support it all.</p>
<p>4. Set up an altar (religious, spiritual, meditational or just reflective, it doesn&#8217;t matter) and stock it with items that inspire you, that call to you and that give you great joy to behold. Add pieces of sentimental value &#8211; a favorite photo or a gifted piece of jewelry &#8211; and finish off the arrangement with a focal point, such as a fountain, a statue, a print or some other object that gives you something to contemplate while you ruminate. Let everyone know that it is off-limits &#8211; your private space &#8211; and use it whenever you need clarity, connection or just a few moment&#8217;s peace.</p>
<p>5. Make your area a no-fire zone. Inform family members, friends, colleagues &#8211; whoever might enter there &#8211; that within this space only positive, supportive and loving behavior and speech is acceptable. Disallow jokes that play on someone else&#8217;s weakness, snide and cutting &#8220;humor,&#8221; gossip, idle speculation about things not your business and so on. Let no one or no thing bring in bad news or disturbing matters &#8211; keep any TV&#8217;s or radios tuned to happier channels. Take yourself outside the area if you must receive unpleasant tidings, but keep the space sacred to the nurturing of your heart and soul.</p>
<p>Supporting our hearts and our souls in a loving and strengthening environment is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. Give yourself permission to ask for what you <a href="http://www.pickthebrain.com/blog/9-websites-to-satisfy-all-your-research-needs/" target="_blank">need</a> and to provide for yourself what others cannot. Only then will you be free to be who you really are &#8211; and who the world really needs you to be.</p>

All our past successes and failures are related to our perception of self and if we are walking around life not whole then we are already at a disadvantage. We have to, in order to heal, start looking within and heal our inner self-first before we are able to move forward in life. The healing of the inner self is a keystone aspect of self-development and progress.</p>
<p>We all are not born with an external perception of ourselves. As we develop and grow, we are shaped by the experiences that we face in life. We are developed into personalities and internal perceptions by the environment we live in and the experiences that we face. This is where our outlook on life is also developed and this leads to the conceptualization of the self that we know. This inner self will not be perfect. <p>In the process of healing the inner self, we all have to look inwards and face all the different facets of our lives. We have to look at ourselves from all the different aspects and angles and achieve a balanced, positive outlook of self at the end of the equation. We have to dig deep and locate the inner strength to face our demons and ourselves head on and to move past them. The blocks that we throw up in life and in our minds are the things that will hinder our overall progress.</p>
<p>For progress in life, we have to develop and grow and heal our inner selves. Only then can we achieve all that we desire in life. We have to focus our inner self to the achievement of higher goals and progress along a path where we are whole on the inside and able to face the obstacles of the outside world. Success in life and in relationships is based on being good on the inside and this means that we have to heal our inner beings to achieve this goal.</p>

In our search for success, we must aim to achieve goals that we set only after we work through the process of healing the hidden self. By building a higher plane of self-awareness, we can work through this process successfully.</p>
<p>Essentially, one must develop abilities and skills to work through development and to increase self-perception and awareness. Only then can one face the world with a positive mind. It is possible to work through self-healing processes and nurturing the hidden self.</p>
<p>We must move away from uncontrolled emotions while taking action to control our life. Establishing control of the body, mind and spirit will assist us with self-healing by using and <a href="http://www.pickthebrain.com/blog/the-importance-of-developing-positive-beliefs/">developing</a> new approaches to achieve fulfillment.</p>
<p>Despite one has achieved wealth, or fame, it does not mean that this person has healed the hidden self. Materials do not make who we are. <p>Many people struggle with emotions. This is because these people have not explored self to their fullest ability to find their true direction. Often these people lack self-control, and will act on impulses. Impulses can lead us to react out of accord to our purpose, which leads to unfavorable consequences. Hence, we must develop self-control in order to think through each decision.</p>
<p>Learning to control our reactions and emotions in the authentic self-concept and healing process is essential. Our core principles can help us to change and to achieve a higher plane of awareness and self and healing. Failing to develop these traits will cause us to stagnate in our inflexibility in our concepts, which will hinder one from moving past negative emotions and concepts.</p>
<p>Our natural principles otherwise suffocate us as they come out in the open and are out of our control. We must learn to heal our inner selves to manage the impulsive facets in our human nature that are holding us back from our self-development.</p>
<p>During the growing and self-development process, we must also learn the importance of flexibility. During the growing and developing phase, we must learn that life is active and does not remain constant. Developing flexibility will help you to see when you must establish core principles or main beliefs to replace your perceptions and conceptions that hinder you from healing the hidden self.</p>
<p>One must continue to seek healing the hidden self by analyzing and finding ways to abandon bad experiences that cause us to resist change. We must cease leading a compulsive life and move to new situations with different approaches in order to attain a controlled reaction with an open mind.</p>
<p>Experiences can lead to unhappiness. Most people will grab onto and hold negative feelings and thoughts, such as resentment, shame, guilt, fear, et cetera. Thus, in order to heal the hidden self one must abandon these negative aspects, taking down the walls and reconstructing the mind to move toward healing of the hidden being.</p>

Most of the problems people have when working toward self-healing arises from misconceptions, doubts, or fears. The fear is often the root of the problem that hinders the person from discovering self.</p>
<p>The hidden self is buried in the subliminal conscious, which makes up our unconscious and subconscious <a href="http://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/rico-clusters-an-alternative-to-mind-mapping.html ">mind</a>. In this area, the mind is unintentional, yet millions of problems emerge because it is triggered.</p>
<p>When the mind is triggered, the emotions kick in and react to whatever memory the trigger hit.
