When Bad Things Happen To You
Posted by: | CommentsThe good that Paul writes about is a commitment of life to the sovereign will of God. It is complete trust in God. It is a conviction that cannot be blurred even by the reality of human suffering.
Unfortunately, unlike Paul, many of us do not trust God as our sovereign Lord. We spend so much of our time and energies running around trying to reason things out and only running into dead end streets. We have enormous difficulty understanding and accepting the obvious spiritual truth that being good does not mean only good things will happen to you. We think being “good” as it were, should exempt us from troubles and when it befalls us, we frantically search for hidden meanings. It is because we cannot find satisfying answers that a multitude of us are quite willing to toss our faith and God aside and spend the rest of our lives groping helplessly in the dark.
Make the Most of your Budget On Shopping Trips
Posted by: | CommentsSome of us love it, some of us hate it. Regardless, clothes shopping can be an expensive venture, and without proper planning and the careful consideration of certain factors, it can well turn into an exercise in futility, resulting in wasted time and money. To make your clothing budget stretch as far as possible, consider a few of these points before making your shopping list.
Fulfillment
Posted by: | CommentsA feeling of fulfillment is something we all seek. Here I would like to address this in a way that many of you already know at some level but which I feel is necessary to highlight.
If we look at the word “fulfillment” itself we find the concept of being “filled full”. I would like to show you that indeed this is literally what it means to be fulfilled.
If you wish, for a moment, think of something that makes you feel happy. Imagine this thing being in your life whenever you desire it. As you do this allow yourself to note how you begin to feel inside of yourself. Also notice where you feel these feelings.
The Ministry Of One
Posted by: | CommentsEach of us has far more potential to serve the Highest Cause, and each other, than we ever tap into. Many of us seeking to commit our lives to such service have, even if only briefly, considered leading or joining an established ministry – at least until the responsibilities associated with our real-world concerns reasserted themselves in our thoughts. How can we even begin to commit to a ministry service with all the work we currently do and all the responsibilities we have? Such a choice seems to be reserved for those with no families, no need to work (or a willingness to live in abject poverty for their cause) and none of the other demands on their time that most people have. I was agonizing over the same problems when the following question popped into my head:
Prosperity Practices
Posted by: | CommentsBy popular request, I thought I would put together this little list of simple things you can do to increase cash flow …sometimes, the most absurd and smallest practices seem to work better than a ritual that you have to make into a big dramatic production. I have tried these ones and they have at one time or another worked for me…
Every time you see a coin on the floor you are to stomp on it and go ‘Money on the floor, money on the door!’ Then pick it up and put it in your wallet.
Drop the Negations
Posted by: | CommentsWhat really binds us to any negative emotional state in which we find ourselves suffering is this: choice.
Freedom from negative behavior and thoughts must begin with your recognition that you are voluntarily serving that which puts your own emotional and spiritual peace at risk. Notice the use of the word voluntarily. You voluntarily choose to serve that which diminishes your own well-being and psycho-spiritual health. When we adopt a negative attitude, we are boxing with ourselves. We are undermining our own emotional health. It is a personal vendetta against ourselves that negates our chances for happiness.
Give Bad Habits A Boot
Posted by: | CommentsEverybody has bad habits. Everybody. Now granted, some people have less than others and some people’s bad habits are more grating than those of others, but we all have them. What is great is that we don’t have to!
Imagine a life where you couldn’t change? What kind of life would that be? But we can, so let’s!
There are two kinds of bad habits: Those you know you have that others may or may not know about, and those you don’t know you have but everybody else knows you have!
The Art Of Adapting To Change
Posted by: | CommentsOne of the main reasons that may hinder us from reaching our
innermost goals and desires is our inability to be flexible.
This fact may be hard to swallow, but it’s true. We do
everything we can to eliminate any type of suffering in our
lives, yet challenges and pressures can bring out the best
in us.
If you have been burdened by mistakes in the past, learn from
them, forget about them, and move on. Some people tend to
focus on how bad their lives have been due to these mistakes.
As a result, they remained stuck in their miserable lives.
Practice Patience (It IS Really A Virtue)
Posted by: | CommentsIf it is very natural for a person to talk about themselves and their business, how can you be patient and slip a salient point in to solve someone else’s problems?
Be Specific
Posted by: | CommentsAre you having a difficult time pinpointing what you want out of life? If I were to ask you to tell me EXACTLY what you want out of life, would you be able to do it?
The answer nine times out of ten will be a resounding, “NO!”
Don’t feel bad if you aren’t clear on what you want out of life. The truth of the matter is most people have no idea what they want or what makes them happy.
