Chinese Astrology

According to Chinese legend, the twelve animals quarreled one day as to who was to head the cycle of years. The gods were asked to decide and they held a contest: whoever was to reach the opposite bank of the river would be first, and the rest of the animals would receive their years according to their finish.

All the twelve animals gathered at the river bank and jumped in. Unknown to the ox, the rat had jumped upon his back. As the ox was about to jump ashore, the rat jumped off the ox’s back, and won the race. The pig, who was very lazy, ended up last. That is why the rat is the first year of the animal cycle, the ox second, and the pig last.

Secret Language of Birthdays

March 15, 2008

If you’re a non-believer in astrology, spend a little time with the Secret Language of Birthdays by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Eiffers. We guarantee it’ll make a believer outta you.

It’s a weighty tome, to be sure. Each birthday gets two full pages of on-target information as well as the usual celebrity birthdates, etc. Now this is a good book to have. Even better is one of the companion books, the Secret Language of Relationships.

Love signs

March 8, 2008

The stars can provide much insight about ourselves, including how, when, and with whom we are most likely to fall in love. Of course, astrology is not destiny, so while the one you love may not be a classic match for you in astrological terms, that doesn’t mean all is lost. By understanding the universal forces that attract you to your lover, you can learn how to make any relationship work, and better understand your own self in the process.

Magical Houseplants

March 1, 2008

Whenever I’m feeling stuck in a rut, I go out and buy myself a new houseplant. I usually do this when I get the sense that I am surrounded by stale energy. Most people can easily pick up on this kind of vibe — emotionally you might be feeling stuck, bored, frustrated, or discouraged. This stale energy also often manifests itself on the physical plane — the phone never rings, your loved ones and pets seem irritable, and the bills arrive long before you collect the money to pay them.

Zodiac Compatibility

February 28, 2008

So is there anything to zodiac compatibility. Does your astrological sign really have anything to do with who your ideal mate is. Or who can be the best friend for you. Is there a reason why some siblings are rivals for life, while others are as close as twins.

Consider the writer, who is a Virgo, although an atypical Virgo (we think). Her sister is a Capricorn, and according to the astrology experts, we should be in tune with Capricorns. And in fact, the writer and her sister and quite literally opposite sides of the same coin. We have the same dreams! And we know when the other is in trouble of some kind. We will call each other at odd times, only to discover that the other was in trouble, or needed help or advice or counsel. We don’t know it consciously, but it just works out that way.

Tsunami Animals Hint At Our True Nature

February 22, 2008

We as human beings consider ourselves the most intelligent species on the planet and attribute this to the evolutionary development of the human brain. Given the advanced state of our technology we would without a doubt concede this as the truth.

Yet at the onset of the Tsunami in the South Pacific late last year it was our species that was caught off guard.

The net result being the loss of thousands of lives. Unlike humans, the local animals living in the area had an intuitive sense that something was wrong and immediately headed to higher ground. Clearly this is evidence that they were connected to an inner knowing that was conveyed to them via channels that we have apparently lost.

What Do The Dead Want

February 8, 2008

As a crystal ball clairvoyant, I have many people asking about the dead — ghosts, hauntings and menacing tales. Are these spirits vengeful; are they peacefully resting; are they there at all? Where are the words of assurance, and the certainty that… we are forever.

True to physical life, ghosts enact their own personality. Often it is a dramatic death — the whisking into infinity that leaves the spirit shocked, confused and sometimes not comprehending the dimension they are in. Another reason for the unsettlement is the person lived a tormented life of mental restriction, springing fears and prejudices. In death, they cannot unlock themselves, so as ghosts they repeat actions that they programmed into themselves in the previous life.

Chines Lunar Calender

February 8, 2008

Prior to adoption of the Western solar calendar system, China exclusively followed a lunar calendar in determining the times of planting, harvesting, and festival occasions. Though today people in China use the western calendar for most practical matters of daily life, the old system still serves as the basis for determining numerous seasonal holidays. This coexistence of two calendar systems has long been accepted by the people of China.

Astrological predictions

January 9, 2008

Opinions about astrological prediction are generally divided. In fact, both views are based on a misunderstanding of the nature of how astrology really works.

Though it may come as a surprise to the true believer many astrologers believe that astrology cannot make precise predictions about your future although  astrology can indeed reveal the tendencies of your future.
