What Does It Takes To Be Happy
July 2, 2008
What does it take to be happy? In our age of consumerism many will likely tell you that in order to be happy you have to keep up with the trends, or as they used to say in the 50’s and 60’s “you must keep up with the Jones’s”.
I think it is clear that if this were a solution to your unhappiness you likely would not have been drawn to this article. You see, the fact that you are reading this at all means that you likely are still confused about this critical issue.
Building Courage to Improve your Personal Life
July 2, 2008
When you build courage, you start to improve your personal life. Building courage will help you take risks to a brighter future that you ordinarily would not take. When you build courage, you put fear behind you. courage is the process of admitting that you have fears, yet you are willing to find a way to defeat those fears and not allow these fears to take control of you. It is ok to experience your fears at appropriate times. For instance, if a bus is heading in your path, swerving you have a right to fear. There is nothing wrong with healthy fear. The problem is you have to put healthy fear in its place and unhealthy fear out of your life.
Characteristics Of A Good Leader
July 2, 2008
It’s interesting to hear the responses from executives when I ask them, “What are the characteristics of a good Leader?”
If I ask that question in a large room of executives, or even upper level managers the answers will be all over the map, and many are
conflicting.
A couple of the usual answers are:

10 Ways To Empower Your Communication

The Blarney Stone is a historical stone, or actually part of the Blarney Castle in Ireland where it was believed that kissing the stone can grant you the gift of gab. Yeah, it seems strange in this day and age, but who are we to question tradition? It’s not like I’m saying that Santa Claus doesn’t exist (OOPS!).
The ABC’s Of A Great Life - ‘D’ Is For Discovery
June 30, 2008
The pure and unadulterated joy of discovery is one that is rarely recreated through any other means, natural or otherwise. The thrill of learning something new, of seeing something great and wonderful for the first time or of finding out something amazing about yourself or another that you never knew before is one of the hallmarks of a joyous human existence and its presence or absence in our lives often forms the very tenor and depth of those lives.
Keeping Your Calender Full
June 25, 2008
When do you want to make time for a networking group?
One of the most valuable tools you have is your calendar. This tool actually rules how you conduct your day. If you take control of your calendar, you will actually be able to control most of what happens to you at work (and at home). You need to spend a small amount of time each day reviewing your calendar for the next 5 working days. Yes, you will have appointments beyond 5 days but the most important ones will be in the next few days. You should always plan your calendar so that it fits your travel and administrative time. A calendar cannot just be appointments and meetings, you must also schedule when the actual work of putting together a proposal or servicing a customer will take place. The calendar should also include “down time” for you to catch your breath, and don’t forget that you need to keep up with the latest business developments in your niche.
Improve your Personal Life with Vitamins
June 25, 2008
Vitamins are very essential to everyone’s body to keep it going. Some vitamins are needed on a daily basis and others not so often.
We get vitamins from our food and then we need to use extra vitamins to get the full amount needed. Getting the right amount of vitamins daily helps to produce your blood cells and they change the food to energy. One of the best vitamins I discovered is the prenatal vitamin. Even if you are not pregnant, the vitamins will restore lost nutrients.
Getting To The Root Of Unhappiness
June 25, 2008
Many people live in clutter, emotionally eat themselves into overweight, live in debt, hate their jobs and otherwise live unhappy lives, unable and seemingly unwilling to change. Why? What do these have in common? What is the core issue?
Fear, or rather an absence of love.
Fear, and not hate, is the “dark side” or opposite/absence of love, the way darkness is the opposite/absence of light.
