Taking Your Ideas A Step Further

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

Whether you’re an executive, manager, professional, or entrepreneur, you need to think ahead. When you do it in a formal sense, it’s called it planning, when you do it informally it’s something like speculating.

Whether you’re planning or speculating, the exercise represents just the tip of the iceberg. For the plans or scenarios to amount to something, they have to be implemented. In turn, that usually involves other people.

Which takes us to the subject of communication: How do you convert those ideas in your head into instructions or position papers or even real plans?

Why Are Salutations Important?

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

The salutation, says a French writer, is the touchstone of good breeding. According to circumstances, it should be respectful, cordial, civil, affectionate or familiar: an inclination of the head, a gesture with the hand, the touching or doffing of the hat.

If you remove your hat you need not at the same time bend the dorsal vertebr’ of your body, unless you wish to be very reverential, as in saluting a bishop.

Staying Motivated All The Way!

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

You’ve read a book that motivates you to action;
you’ve read a motivational quote and got pumped up;
you’ve attended a seminar and listened to a motivational
speaker and feel you can conquer the world.

A week later the motivation is no longer there.
If it is still there, it is not as powerful or as strong
as it felt while you were listening or reading the message.

You must train yourself to hold on to the motivation.

Let me tell you about Keshia.

Despite society’s seeming obsession with competition and one-upmanship, the raw and sometimes hard-to-live-up-to truth is that our planet is a closed system – there is no actual “away” to throw things, no true “other” to be afraid of and no possible difference between the suffering of one and the suffering of all, even if that isn’t apparent at first glance.

As many spiritual and religious teachers instruct, we are all one with our brothers and sisters, and we are all brothers and sisters. Just as you can’t sanely or healthily cut off one finger to “leave more stuff” for the rest of the hand, neither can you pollute, exploit, undermine or hurt one part of earth, one population of people or one species of life without it eventually coming back to hurt us all.

It’s A Challenge To Succeed

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

It is a challenge to succeed. If it were not, I’m sure more people would be successful, but for every person who is enjoying the fruit from the tree of success, many more are examining the roots. They are trying to figure it all out. They are mystified and perplexed by what seems to be some strange, complex and elusive secret that must be found if ever success is to be enjoyed.

A Bowl Of Wisdom Soup

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

1. Dedicate yourself by all means at the job in hand

2. Empty yourself of all the entanglements since you are none of it and need not take the transient for eternal. You are slave of your own created entanglements, no entanglements, and no slaving business.

3. Your capacity to empty yourself of all the subjects of desire matters at the end of the day. When you are emptied of all the entanglements, what remains is love. All the entanglements are self.

4. Unless you have the capacity to absolutely let go of old, new will not arrive.

Don’t Be The Selfish Being

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

Trouble, trouble, trouble. Nothing but trouble. The night before, I was just talking to a friend-cum-feng-shui master about the direction of my life. The horrible things that are currently going in my life right now. The things that could go wrong, is going to go wrong or has gone wrong. I spent a total of 3 hours complaining, ranting and raving about how unfair life is and how come others who are close to me or my husband can afford luxurious lifestyles. How come they have 2 family cars and we have to share 1 car. How come they can afford to have four computers for the four family members of their home. The youngest being barely 3 have her own computer at all – like she’s got tons of work to do on her own and absolutely needs her own computer, you know what I mean? I was just ranting and raving about how my kids have to fight with me for the computer – me rushing things out for my clients and my kids sitting right next to me, waiting for me to finish with the consistent but patient enquiries like, ‘Mom, are you done yet?’ or ‘Have you made enough money yet?’.

How To Have More Energy

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

I’ve had problems with fatigue and a lack of energy all my life. It would be wonderful to know why. I’ve asked doctors, read books, and learned that some questions just won’t be answered in my lifetime.

I’ve also learned that even without discovering the root causes of my tiredness, there are things I can do to alleviate it. Here are some of energy boosters that have worked for me and others over the years. Sometimes it helps to use several at once.

Energy Boosters

1. Breath deeply. Three slow deep breaths help oxygenate the blood supply better, and especially seems to wake up the brain.

Creating Reality

Posted by: Chris D'Cruz | Comments (0)

We all create our own reality each and every day, whether we are aware of the power that we possess or not. We all have a built-in mechanism that runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three-hundred-sixty-five days a year, non-stop.

Each and every one of us is a powerful Magician. It’s just that somewhere along the line, someone forgot to tell us just how powerful we really were. We have not been trained in how to best use our natural magical abilities, therefore we go through life, creating in one moment, and then destroying our creation in the next.
